As dentists have credentials from State dental boards, they have the proper education and facilities to conduct dental whitening in a safe and ethical manner. Spas and Salons must use a self-administered approach to provide this service. It is important that a Salon or Spa use products and methodologies that are acceptable by the regulatory agencies. ProWhite Dental Whitening Gels are chemically distinct from all other gels and have the highest efficacy rating with the lowest sensitivity rating. How Does L.E.D. Assisted Teeth-whitening Work?

IMPORTANT: This L.E.D. teeth-whitening system is a cosmetic treatment methodology that has been specifically designed to be in compliance with applicable regulations. It can be used as either
1) ) a procedure that is SELF-ADMINISTERED by the teeth-whitening customer using the provided materials and instructions or
2) a procedure that is administered by licensed dentist or dental professional using these materials and instructions enhanced with any materials and/or methodologies validated by a licensed dental professional.
L.E.D. assisted teeth-whitening is a safe and effective treatment that will lead to beautiful, white teeth. Peroxide-based bleaching systems have been used safely and effectively for decades. Because the oxidation process of peroxide is catalyzed by light of the correct wavelength, L.E.D. lighting systems accelerate the natural bleaching action of peroxide gels. The special bleaching gel included in this system has been specifically formulated to be very reactive when used in conjunction with this L.E.D. lighting system.

Prepare For Your Teeth-whitening Treatment

Be sure that you have access to the following materials included with your ProWhite dental lamp:
1) Teeth-whitening kit,
2) L.E.D. lighting system,
3) Eye goggles for use during your L.E.D. whitening sessions and
4) Mirror if needed.

Included in your teeth-whitening kit are the following components: 1) Teeth-whitening pen containing high-reactivity carbamide peroxide gel, 2) Lip retractor, 3) Patient bib 4) Cotton swabs, and 5) Tooth shade guide.

L.E.D. Teeth-Whitening Procedure

The teeth-whitening procedure is performed in 10-20 minute sessions as described below.
NOTE: If needed, use a mirror to help with the following procedures. 1) Insert lip retractor such that both upper and lower teeth are exposed. 2) Use a cotton swab to dry the surface of teeth. 3) Rotate the bottom of the teeth-whitening pen to dispense gel and apply a thin layer to both upper and lower teeth. 4) Place eye-goggles over eyes. 5) Place L.E.D. light-head approximately 1 to 3 inches away from teeth. 5) Press power button on L.E.D. light and allow light to focus on teeth for preset time period of ten minutes. 6) Repeat steps 1 - 5 as needed. Upon completion of your final L.E.D. whitening session, you may choose not eat/drink or rinse for one hour as bleaching action continues to occur in the pores of your teeth.
NOTE: If needed, you may allow a few minutes between each whitening session and also drink water to wash away any excess gel from your mouth. The whitening gel is not harmful if ingested in the amounts used as directed for a whitening session.

After Your L.E.D. Teeth-whitening Treatment

Upon competition of the L.E.D. whitening treatment, you will have accelerated the affect of oxidizing the stains in the pores of your teeth into a beautiful white color. Most patients see improvement from 2 to 7 shades, but you can improve your tooth color even further by continuing your whitening efforts with at-home products, such as a tray-based kit, whitening pen, brushing gel and more. You will want to continue using these methods to continue your whitening project and retain your beautiful white color.
